Monday Club (fun for 7-11 year olds)

Spring 2010 programme now available... The Monday Club Spring programme is now available to view and print; click HERE. This terms highlights include a puppet show and workshop courtesy of the Inside Out Puppeteer group. What is Monday Club? Monday Club is a Mini Youth Club for children in school years 3,4,5 and 6. Our aims are very clear and simple fun and friendship. We want to provide a safe and welcoming place for your children to come and meet friends, make friends and have a really good time taking part in a wide range of activities.

Who leads Monday Club
Monday Club is run by a team of volunteers who are part of the Watnall Road Baptist Church. There is also oversight and some involvement from the church’s Ministry Assistant for Children and Families - Sally Newsome.
All our volunteers are CRB checked and follow the church’s Safeguarding Policy (please ask if you would like a see copy of this policy.)

What happens at Monday Club?
It is different every week. We try to provide a wide range of activities and outings that appeal to the children in the group and cover a wide range of interests. Examples of activities are:- Indoor Olympics, Ready Steady Cook night, Movie and popcorn night. We also have trips out such as Ramble and Chips, Bowling. At the beginning of each term the children are given a program of events so that they know what is happening when.
We also have a tuck shop during the evening that has sweets ranging form 1p to 10p in price.

What time is Monday Club, where is it and how much does it cost?
Monday Club is usually from 6pm to 7.30pm. On trip nights this may be different but you would be informed of any changes.
Monday Club is held in the Back Room or Upstairs Hall at Watnall Road Baptist Church - enter down the right hand side jitty way (as you are facing the church). On trip nights we usually meet at Church first and return to church. Again, you would be informed of any changes.
The cost of Monday Club is 60p - this enables us to fund the activities we do. Trips out cost more but it is usually no more than £2.
(We are aware that people are in different circumstances and would not want any child not to take part in an activity because of the cost… if this is an issue for you please have a word with one of the leaders in confidence. Your child is very welcome to take part in all aspects of Monday Club.)

Important Information
It’s important that for all children attending Monday Club, we have a ‘Registration And Consent’ form. It simply ensures we have the address, contact details and relevant medical information for the children taking part. If you need a copy of this form, you can download a copy HERE.
