Watnall Road Baptist Church… ‘making disciples for Jesus’

Hi, and welcome to our site. Hopefully these pages will give you some idea of the things that go on in our church, and the things that our church does in our community - and importantly, why we do it. If you've got any queries about anything we do or don't do, be sure to drop us a note [click here]. In the mean time enjoy the site.

News & Notices

Snow doesn’t halt Senior Service

Despite a few inches of snow falling on Sunday morning, 36 gathered for our first "Senior Service". The congregation enjoyed singing some traditional hymns and, inspired by the hymn "How Sweet the Name of Jesus Sounds", Rev Ian Smith spoke about the name of Jesus: a saving name, a special name, a soveriegn name, and the name of our friend. After the service we enjoyed a fantastic tea together. This new service will be held monthly on the 3rd week of each month.

Podcast Problems

Apologies to anyone who's been waiting for new services to be posted to the website. The problem has been resolved and Sunday's All Age Service is now available to download.

New Service at Watnall Road

Sunday 21st February sees the launch of a brand new service at Watnall Road. At 4.00pm we will be holding the first of our "Senior" Services. These will be more traditional in style, with hymns chosen from your favourites (you can pass your favourite hymns and songs to Ian Smith or Chris Stickland). Following the service we will be having a tea. All are welcome. Senior Service will be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month.
