Watnall Road Baptist Church - Sharing God’s Love…

Hi, and welcome to our site. Hopefully these pages will give you a flavour of our church - some idea of the things that go on in our church here in Hucknall, and the things that our church does in our Hucknall community - and importantly, why we do it. If you'd like to get in touch about anything be sure to drop us a note [click here]. In the mean time enjoy the site.

Christmas Generosity

Thanks to all who contributed to the Christmas Card Appeal and the Christmas Day appeal. We have been able to send gifts of over £800 to Uganda to buy equipment for schools, and approximately £8000 to NetWorks in Romania for the refurbishment of a hostel for homeless men. Pray for God's blessing for these projects.

Starting Soon

We are looking forward to welcoming our new Lead Minister, Rev Stephen Ibbotson. He begins his ministry for Watnall Road on Thursday 16th February, and he and Helena will be moving to Hucknall the following week. On Saturday 10th March at 3.00pm there will be an induction service to formally welcome him into his new role here. Please put the date in your diaries!

Christmas Day appeal & NetWorks Romania

As a church we have supported the work of Networks in Romania for a number of years and some of our members have been out to Arad and Siria to help out. They are in the final stages of refurbishing a hostel for homeless men, but red tape from the European Union means this is more complicated and costly than really necessary!! Temperatures in the winter are often minus 20 degrees C. To help them get the hostel up and running as soon as possible we'd like to give them a big Christmas gift. Therefore on Christmas Day there will be a special offering for Networks. If you'd like to support the project but aren't around on Christmas Day please pass your gift to Trevor Clay.
