Staff and Leadership

Please find below an introduction to our church leaders and staff members. The church is led by a leadership made up of Ministry Team members who work full or part-time for the church and in the community, and also ‘deacons’. This title is found in the Bible to describe those that helped lead early churches – and its literal translation is, ‘one who serves’. We’re here to serve others.
 

Rev. Simon J Robinson - Lead Minister
Hello – I’ve been the Lead Minister at WRBC since August 2016 and I love it here! Before coming here I have led Churches in Essex, Hampshire and Derbyshire. I also had a couple of years working as Derbyshire Co-ordinator for Redeeming our Communities: a great Christian organisation that brings people of good-will together to create kinder safer communities. My role at WRBC is to lead the church and to support and equip them to live for Jesus and realise our vision of being hope in the heart of our community. This involves teaching and preaching, pastoral care, overseeing and resourcing the House Groups and looking after the Ministry Team. I am also very active in connecting our church with the local community. Hazel and I have been married since 1982 and we have two grown-up sons and four grandchildren. I spend a lot of my spare time listening to Indie and Electronic music, going to gigs and sifting through vinyl at record shops. simon@wrbc.co.uk
